3K? They could prolly afford it.
Reminds me of my mom that had a removal of a benign thingie in her breast, but then when bending over and twisting with her arm just right, would get a stabbing pain in her breast. Finally, after a year (it’d only happened a few times, but lately had happened more) she went back. They x-rayed and had left a probe inside. Offered to remove it for no charge.

I really hope they’d at least remove it no charge. That has lawsuit written all over it.
Which is unfortunate considering the medical field is there to save people yet everyone wants to jump on the lawsuit train. “thank you for saving my life.. wait, these stitches are crooked... Lawsuit!” “I should have let you bleed out...”

She didn’t. She liked her doctor. She would have *preferred* that he’d counted his instruments at the end of the operation (as others do) but ...
Pliers in the suspension - not so bad. Look like shitty pliers, too.

Mrs. Shoe Pilot trains operating room nurses. This is a HUGE HUGE HUGE fuck up on the part of the surgeon(s) AND the entire nursing staff. They’re supposed to account for EVERY piece of equipment before they sew a patient up. If your mom wanted to, she could get a whole lot more than free tool removal out of the deal.

Still have the screwdriver the local Ford dealer’s shop left in my 1965 Ford Fairlane in 1973 or 1974. Too bad it was a crappy screwdriver.

I know I found a wrench still on the oil drainplug when I worked at Iffy-Lube. Not sure how it stayed on.

I got a free Snap-On flare wrench the same way! Bonus that it didn’t just fall into the fanbelt while driving.

I’ve had various cases of the opposite. Screws would always stay stuck on my sockets.

Oh yeah I've had that happen too. if they are rounded just right they can give you trouble.
